Fran Ballesteros, pharmacist and head of our education department. A perfectionist, hard-working, fun and charming all-rounder. He has (almost) everything and that is why everyone adores him.
Favourite color
That’s a hard one… I don’t think I’ve ever considered this. For clothing I prefer classic colors that are not flashy, such as blue, gray and green … Although in general, if I have to choose, I prefer green, like the English countryside, which brings back good memories.
Your music and song
Well, my playlists are a whole universe!!! Mainly international pop-rock: Coldplay, Muse, Bon Jovi (one is already a few years old), although, suddenly, you can also find a Fangoria song (Madrid’s nightlife will always be in my heart) or unspeakable things like Nino Bravo. But if I have to stay with a song it would be Fix You by Coldplay.
What do you do when you wake up
Coffee in significant quantities. I am not a person who stays in bed for a long time, as the alarm goes off I get up, but it is true that I like to enjoy those 5 minutes of reflection, looking out the window while the coffee is being made. I read the news and e-mail while having breakfast (coffee and toast is my usual routine, although sometimes I indulge myself and add some ham for breakfast), shower and start the day.
What do you do before you go to sleep
Talk to my family and tell them about my day. I don’t care that I met them that afternoon, I always put a call to my parents and my sister to explain my day and wish a good night. After that, sofa time to watch TV, although I don’t pay much attention to it, I prefer to mentally review the routes and things to do the next day and as soon as I start to sleep I go to bed. Prime time is not for me.
What do you do to relax
Read. I can’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon than sitting next to a good book and letting my mind wander between its pages. In fact, I have an exclusive chair to sit and read, strategically located next to a window. Although in recent years I have discovered another passion: coloring. It is very gratifying to see how a totally blank drawing takes life and color. Sometimes I can even feel anxious and I run to finish one and start a new one hahaha!
What passionate you
I am not a passionate person, but traveling is what I like the most, along with my nephews, who I adore!
When I travel I feel free and I love to get into the culture. I try to avoid the most touristic places and live the daily local life. If I would have to choose a country, I would say UK. I never get tired of the UK, it brings back great memories since I lived there for two years and internalized part of its culture. The rain, a good tea (Earl Gray, of course), driving on the left … things that although they may seem superfluous, make me smile.
How do you take care of yourself
For me, taking care of myself is being aligned, mentally and physically. The truth is that I don’t have much time to go to the gym or do sports every day but what I do is take good care of my diet. Quality and local food is a must for me. I really like cooking so I am always trying new things. As for peace of mind, as I said before, my books and my colors are what make my mind go blank. If my body and mind need an extra support, I always trust in food supplements. Something that cannot be missing in my house is Vibracell twice a year, and MagVita as a rescue for muscle contractures.
